Mar 15, 2012 I have Traktor 2.1.2 installed, and the driver for the Kontrol S2 is installed. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both. Traktor sees the Kontrol S2 as an audio interface, and sort of sees it as a controller. If I pick the default Kontrol S2 mapping in the controller manager, under In Port and Out Port it says n/a, as if it's not even there.

TIDAL for DJs? With TIDAL music streaming gaining popularity I'm wondering whether they would ever bring lossless streaming to DJ software like Tracktor, Serato or rekordbox for use with CDJs. Serato is a company that makes digital DJ software. Its first was called Serato Scratch Live and it was released in the mid-2000s. A lot has changed in digital DJing since then, and today Serato’s latest app is called Serato DJ Pro (and Serato DJ Lite for beginners). It can be used with turntables, DJ media players and controllers.
Traktor is Native Instruments’ laptop DJ software, and Traktor Pro 3 is the current version. It’s one of the first digital DJ apps, launching back in 2000. Conclusion: Traktor is truly amazing. Its tight integration of both hardware accessories and components with its software give serious track and music spinners total control over their tracks and mixes. As such, the interface is a bit complicated for the noobie or those uninitiated in track mixing. The software and related accessories are also quite expensive. This isn't something that the average user is going to purchase, as knowledge of music mixing is required to obtain the value-add from the program.

However, if you’re a professional or amateur DJ and mix music at parties or other for-pay gatherings, then you need to take a look at Traktor and its hardware and components. They're expensive, and definitely an investment; but I think you're going to find that they are an investment that will definitely pay off.
