Emo Bands That Use Auto Tunes
Paramore is amazing! Although I only know the lead singers name and am not part of their fandom, I have heard a LOT of their songs. The instrumentals are amazing and pure. Like many good bands, though, they have flaws.
- Hayley Williams voice is good, but it isn't natural, it is stressed and forced. The only time I have heard it natural is part of The Only Exception or whatever it's called. That is probably their best song.
-They are barely emo. They are pop punk. Some of their slower songs are considered emo, but not all slow songs are emo. The slow songs are emo in the tempo, and in the instrumentals (kinda), but lyrically no.
In conclusion, Paramore is a great band, but needs to learn. They will never be perfect, though, because NOTHING is perfect.
The phase was great, the voice quality and drumming was outstanding.

10Sunny Day Real EstateThis is sad (not because its emo), there are only about six emo bands on here (sunny day real estate, rites of spring, american football, texas is the reason, mineral and (early) jimmy eat world) the rest are not emotive hardcore/post-hardcore, but instead a bunch of half-decent pop/punk fueled by ramen bands that are simply mislabeled and have very little in common with any actual emo bands. Honestly listen to the six bands I mentioned and become well versed in the genre before voting, that isn't to say you will enjoy it more than the pop/punk bands, as some of those bands range from decent to great by some peoples, however you should be able to tell they should not be lumped into the same genre.
How are they #41? Diary is one of the best albums in the history of ever. Anyway, only like 1% of this list is emo. You know, Saves the Day*, Mineral, Cursive, Rites of Spring, Texas is the Reason, Jimmy Eat World**, Cap'n Jazz, Weezer*. That's about it. A thumb rule is: if it gets played on MTV, there's a 95% chance it's not emo.

Pierce the veil is awesome I don't see how they could be in the 36th rank. I would put them as number 1 best band ever, they always cheer me up and when I feel down I just listen to them and forget about the world, Pierce The Veil saved me, they are my heros, the first song I heard of them was southern constillations, the lyrics really touched me, they really help me to not cut, whenever I feel like cutting, I listen to them and forget about the world, they also help me throughout the most hardest times like heartbreaks and my boyfriend started to listen to them, and PTV has really helped him out too, the first song my boyfriend heard of them was Bulletproof love
I'm not exaggerating when I say Pierce the Veil has saved many people's lives (including mine). Their lyrics are so deep and easy to connect to! And it doesn't hurt that they're all really hot ;) but seriously, they are my favorite band and I wish I had found them sooner.. I listen to them everyday and I think more people should too.. Going back to that whole 'life saving' part, there was one day where I felt so bad and I was crying. I was then listening to 'Tangled in the Great Escape' and I put my knife down and I've been clean since that day, and because of that here I am :D I love this band so much and I think they should have a much higher ranking..

Currently listening to this band, and I love it so much. It has been my favorite band for a while, I don't regret finding it. The lyrics are absolutely amazing, they talk about topics other than what the regular public listens to, and I personally think Kellin's vocals are some of the best I've ever heard. I also think Gabe is an amazing drummer, and everything is just overall perfect in this band.

The melodic emo-pop slowly invaded rock radios everywhere in the nation. The few that made it (and stayed) on the radio are the better known bands such as My Chemical Romance. You can keep getting your music spoon fed to yourself on the radio and television. Great music like Hawthorne Heights requires some searching to be found.

I have seen this band twice. The CD Skeltons is probably one of the most well written I have ever heard -- death, life, afterlife, sorrow, self-destruction, all wrapped up into one. There is a continous underlying theme in every song. Check it out sometime.

This band is insanely good. In 2009 they made the album 'Stand up and scream' which is just AMAZING. In 2011 the album 'Reckless and relentless' was released. It wasnt as good as the first one, but (In my opinion) still the 2nd best album ever made. In 2013 they made another just gorgeous album named 'From death to destiny.' Unfortunately the singer Danny Worsnop had changed their style into something a little more hard rock at this point so the album fell a little behind the other ones. (Remember that everything I say is still just my opinion.) In 2015 Danny Worsnop left the band, but I can't disagree with his decision since he didn't have his heart in the band anymore. This looked like the worst thing that could ever happen, but it was the complete opposite! The young singer Denis Stoff now joined the band, and I think Denis is just what AA needed. Evanescence is the best band I've ever listened to. The songs are so deep and meaningful that they are perfect. Songs like Hello and My Last Breath bring out what perfection means. And Amy Lee's voice just matches the lyrics in every song. It's her that makes every song sound do unique and artistic.
Anyone who has listened to this knows this is emo genre. It's more gothic but a lot of her songs have harder stuff. It's more sad than emo but yeah.
I was looking for Evanescence to be under My Chemical Romance. Or at least to be in the Top 5, not Top 20! I've liked Evanescence for 13 years now, Amy Lee has gotten just more and more amazing. No other band has this much emotional impact on me. This pisses me off.
17Dashboard ConfessionalOne of the best yet underrated emo bands out there. Some bands I grew up with slowly turned into pop punk/punk rock, but Dashboard stayed and embraced the scene. Chris Carrabba's vocals tug on my emotions every time I hear them. Especially on Remember to Breathe, Turpentine Chaser, Hands Down and Vindicated. His vocals are accompanied by an acoustic guitar or an entire band. He sings with lots of emotions since stated in an interview the songs he makes are 'outlets' for his sadness. This gives the songs the emotional power they have whenever anyone plays their/his songs. In my opinion, Chris' acoustic versions of his songs feel more raw and are filled to the brim with emotion. Dashboard is one of those bands where not a lot of people listen to, but have great music.

Sad, I've counted a total of five emo bands on this list (Sunny day real estate, early Jimmy eat world, Rites of spring, and American foot ball). this is the reason why ignorance is the downfall of democracy, and people need to educate themselves about what they are voting for. I'm guessing most of this sites voting population have never even heard an actual emo band before.
Seriously, I couldn't agree more. how the hell did mineral end up at 76, well below such non-emo bands like escape the fate and black veil brides? Where are bands like rainer maria? Or still life? How about boys life? Maybe christie front drive? Or even elliott? Or the obvious like the promise ring? Not even any love for Jejune?

40SaosinOk, here's the thing. I discovered Saosin in the past couple years, and some of their music I think deserves to put them top 5 on this list. Seven Years is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard, and other greats like Collapse, and It's far better to learn are just fantastic. This band has flown under the radar, but both Cove Reber and Anthony Green are extremely talented and deserve more recognition. If you have never heard of Saosin, PLEASE do yourself a favor and check them out
